• Rome: The Eternal City

There is a reason why they call Rome "The Eternal City". It feels like you have travelled back in time to the Roman empire. Ruins are scattered across the city and you can stumble upon pieces of them wherever you go. Despite the grandeur of the city with numerous major landmarks, we didn't enjoy Rome as much as Florence or Venice partly because Rome was just too hot. It was 37 degrees on the afternoon we arrived.

  • Cinque Terre in One Day

Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consisting of five little fishing villages along the rugged coast of the Italian Riviera. Much of its charm and allure comes from its distinct colourful houses, each village with its own unique character. Having set our eyes on this gorgeous seaside town, we took a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre. You would be happy to know that it is very possible to see Cinque Terre in one day!
