    Venice, with its old idyllic charm and winding waterways, is well known as one of the most romantic cities in Europe. Add thousands of tourists converging in narrow streets and clusters of flying pigeons escaping your face by inches, and some of the lustre is lost. Despite the crowd, we were still fully enchanted by Venice's sights and sounds, though there are a few things to avoid should you be making a trip to Venice for the first time.

Till today, I experience daily constant back pain (at times debilitating). I thought my days of travelling were over. If I can barely sit through a 2-hour movie, how can I possibly sit through an 11-hour flight? I won't tell you it's easy, but I will tell you it's possible.

  • Athens: Greek Gods and Temple Rocks

    Athens was the start of our 18 day honeymoon, so you can say that it was here that we were first welcomed by Europe's summer heat (almost at its peak), and were we not ready for it! Still, countless reapplications of sunblock later, I must say it was pretty surreal, standing on the Acropolis and seeing the Parthenon in front of our eyes, learning about the layers of history that exist between these marbled rocks.
